Dementia Friendly Music

My entertainment is ‘dementia friendly’ so more reminiscence, visual aids, props, costumes and more opportunities for clients to interact and ‘be part of the show’.

"Service users participation is always welcome and encouraged."

Person-Centred Music

I'm always keen to get to know my clients, and make time to chat to them. I love to learn about their favourite songs and their treasured special memories. It’s all about keeping them happy, so I always value their feedback.

How it all began…

I started my business entertaining in Bournemouth and Poole care homes in December 2013 combining my passion for music with experience in social care.  Due to popular demand, I've been offering entertainment all year round since January 2015.

I have now entertained at more than 65 different care homes and day centres in Bournemouth, Dorset and Hampshire.

I know the importance of providing stimulating activities for older people and adults with learning disabilities.  It is my aim to bring quality musical entertainment which will lift the spirits of the older people and disabled adults you support. I provide 'dementia friendly' entertainment which is both memorable and engaging, aiming to be ‘the highlight of their day’.

Passionate about quality care

My professional background is in social care with over 20 years experience in a range of social care fields up to management level.

Research shows engagement through music has a very positive impact on a person’s overall wellbeing. What a joy to be part of this!

"Rebecca came to entertain residents at Bethel House and we couldn't have asked for better.  Rebecca interacts well with each resident encouraging their input in many ways to which each person felt comfortable doing.  She would get to know the residents, dance with them and she brings props so each resident can get involved no matter their physical difficulties.  The songs were also ones our residents knew and they sang along to them all!  Highly recommend Rebecca to you"
